Research and Teaching
The Qingdao University of Science & Technology [QUST] and the Paderborn University [UPB] are both institutions of higher education with an excellent reputation in their countries, which have been working together since 1995. The previous cooperation consists in particular in organizing a bilateral program for the exchange of students within the framework of a Chinese-German Technical Faculty [CDTF] in the field of mechanical engineering and chemistry.
This cooperation is to be further strengthened; in the future, the aim is to intensify chemistry, particularly in the area of university research and teaching. With the foundation of the CDC in March 2017, two material science courses were established. The two courses are called "Coatings & Energy Materials" and "Composite Materials"; both are carried out within the CDC.
