Vis­ited Hebei Uni­ver­sity of Tech­no­logy in Tianjin

The visit to the Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) in Tianjin is an important stop on the agenda of the CDTU team's China trip. For the reception, the delegation from the University of Paderborn was led to the HUST Park, which is a very impressive "Achievements Hall". Prof. Dr. Hans Kleine Büning and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Bremser presented the concept of the CDTU. After the meeting Research profiles were exchanged, which serves as a basis for future research collaborations.

HEBUT is one of the "Key Universities" in Hebei Province, China (Project 211). Its strategically important research institutions include a National Engineering Research Center and a further 17 Key Research Institutes, as well as a State Key Laboratory funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) and the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education (MoE) was founded together. Since 2004, a total of 3,000 research projects have been processed and 1,500 "Scientific Achievements" have been delivered. With more than 480 patents, HEBUT is one of the top 10 most innovative institutions in China.
