Important: Please make sure that you apply correctly for your studies at the University of Paderborn! Otherwise it is possible that your application cannot be processed. Please pay particular attention to which applicant group and which application procedure you belong to.

If you did not receive your school-leaving certificate in Germany and want to apply for a degree at the University of Paderborn, you must meet both linguistic and subject-related entrance requirements. Preparatory German course

If you still need to acquire the German language skills required for your degree, you can first - regardless of your nationality - apply to the International Office for a preparatory German course (see question 11 of the application for admission).

The DSH courses start every three months. Please note the relevant application deadlines.

Applications for a degree

• The following application deadlines apply to prospective students who already have the required language skills. If you do not have certified copies of your documents, you can also apply with uncertified copies to meet the deadline.
• Due to the corona pandemic, it is still possible to submit the certified copies for applications for the winter semester 2021/22 until July 15, 2021.
• For some courses, the application must be made via the Uni-Assist portal. You can find a list of Uni-Assist courses under "Applicant Groups" .
