On October 31, 2018, Prof. Dianhua Wei, QUST Vice President for Finances, Mr. Dawei Zhang, Deputy Director International Office, Prof. Tong Zhao, Vice Dean E-Technology, and other QUST members visited the University of Paderborn. The QUST delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Torsten Meier, Vice President for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Kleine Büning, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Chinese-German Campus [CDC], Junwei Zhong, Managing Director CDC and Dr. Hoang Trang Tran-Thien, CDC Coordination.
The reason for this visit was to intensify the cooperation within the framework of the Chinese-German campus between the University of Qingdao University of Science & Technology and the University of Paderborn. In a further conversation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, represented by the Vice Dean Prof. Detmar Zimmer and by Dr. Vera Denzer, coordinator of the CDTF office at the UPB, also talked about the possible establishment of joint research at the CDTF. An alumni meeting with former QUST students who studied in Paderborn and Chinese CDTF students rounded off the meeting.
